Chainmaille is a Skull's Best Friend

Tri-skulled hanging light. I picked up the art of chainmaille years ago in Philly. I am still experimenting with ways I can incorporate chain patterns/different metals into haunt pieces. If anyone has ideas let me know!

  1. If anyone can throw down metalwork and skulls, it's you. And with your experience, these hanging pieces could feature all manner of woven accents and chain dangles that would inspire any crypt or dungeon.

And these tri-skull lights are a terrific design. There's no caricature about them - no kiddieland Halloween softness. They're a haunting mark of memento mori in every good way. The only thing that stands out is that it looks like the chain is overpowered here by how striking the skulls are.

I'd love to see these with a larger gauge of links - something with a sense of weight - that balances the whole concept without taking away the emphasis of the skulls.

Keep the excellent work coming! I'm always excited to see what ghastly things you're pounding into submission on the slab.
